Copy and Restoration is the process of recreating a new and improved, corrected version of your original piece. Your original piece is "scanned" or "copied", doing no further harm to it. With our expertise in Photoshop, we recreate a new, corrected copy of your piece, fixing all the imperfections that you desire. The price will be determined at the initial consultation. This estimate is determined depending upon the severity of damage and the number of hours that are needed to do the necessary "repair" and the size of the finished portrait(s) that you desire. At the initial consultation, a finished sized will also be determined. In many cases, it is recommended going with the original size or smaller. Depending upon the original, a larger size sometimes is available. We will show you on our computer all the "flaws" that may NOT be visible to your eyes. Your original never leave the premises and are never worked on.
We cannot copy any images that carry a copyright on them. We will advise you as what we can do .
We have had photos brought into us in several pieces and have been able to "recreate" a new photo. Of course, the more difficult the procedure the more expensive it is. We will be perfectly honest with you, if it is beyond repair, we will tell you.
We will also discuss with you the proper handling and storage of your original piece, along with framing recommendations for your new piece.
We cannot give "estimates" over the phone. We need to see the original piece and discuss with you how much "repair" or "restoration" you desire. We require one-half of the estimate to start the work, with the balance due upon completion of the work.
