This FIRST meeting is extremely important. Here we will discuss what you want and you will determine if our style of wedding photography is what you want. All prices and all the different coverages, along with albums, will be discussed. A non-refundable retainer fee is paid to reserve your wedding weekend at the time you decide that you want US to be your exclusive wedding photographer. We only book ONE wedding a weekend to ensure that you have our undivided attention. Discussions will include what coverages you want. Such as; Your rehearsal and dinner, getting your hair done at your stylist's office, photos of you getting ready at home, arriving at the church, preliminary photos, ceremony photos, formal altar photos (before or after), reception, at a park or other location, dance, or other special looks you want! Remember, this is YOUR day!
After booking us and BEFORE your wedding invitations are printed and sent out...to insure that we will have enough time to do all the photographs YOU want...we will sit down and go over ALL the photos you want created. We will create an itinerary for WHERE you want them and then make sure that enough time is allowed to create them. The itinerary is shared with all people involved with the photos to insure that they are WHERE they need to be and WHEN. The "I didn't know" excuse will be eliminated, along with having to search for someone. We work from a "check-list" to make sure that all the important images are created, along with those that maybe you never thought of!
Sit back, relax and ENJOY your day knowing that you hired a professional that truly understands a wedding and knows EXACTLY what you want!
Depending up on what you want will determine what your cost will be. We have Bride & Grooms who want to be in total control of all of the images, so you would select the packages that gives you the "Best of the Best" images and you make your own album (ideal for those Brides that love to "scrapbook"). Other Brides chose an album, because they want an album created by the professionals at Studio One. Payment for the package/coverage you select is due ONE week before your wedding.
Depending upon which package you go with, will determine when the previews from your wedding will be ready. In most cases, the previews are ready in TWO weeks after your wedding. You will be notified when they are ready and an appointment will be made to pick them up. You will have TWO weeks after the initial preview pick-up to place an order for your wedding album and an appointment will be made for your order return the day you pick the previews up.
Give us a call at 920-921-7920 or email us at email@example.com, for an appointment to come in and chat about your needs before selecting your photographer. You should NEVER pick a photographer solely on price. Remember, "you get what you pay for" and you cannot go back and redo your wedding day! Receive a complimentary brochure entitled, "How to Avoid the 7 HUGE Mistakes People Make When They Select Their Wedding Photographer" for coming in and chatting with us!
After spending over $2,000 for your dress, veil, undergarments, jewelry and shoes and $500 each for your bridesmaids’ dresses, not alone the rental for your tuxes, mother’s dresses, flowers, wedding cake, limo rental, your reception dinner, bar tab and dance…what do you have left? Your photographs.
If you need to “cut” corners, eliminating a professional photographer WILL BE the biggest mistake you will make. After spending thousands of dollars on your wedding day, doesn’t it make sense to have the best photographer that money can buy?
When you are looking for a photographer, make sure you touch and feel their work. In other words, meet personally with them. You need to interview them for YOUR “job”. Make sure that the work they are showing you is their work and not someone else’s! You need to find someone that knows what they are doing, has photographed weddings before, has examples of their work, knows how to handle people and knows how to use all of their equipment. DON’T be their first wedding! You should, on an average, after hiring your photographer, either meet in person or by phone at least three more times before your wedding. It is VERY important to keep your photographer informed of all changes to your wedding day. In my experience, I have found that working with a “checklist” of the photographs that are important to you is extremely important. This way you will receive the photographs YOU want, not what your photographer thinks you want.
When you hire a TRUE professional photographer, you are getting their professionalism, their talent, and yes their ability to “keep your wedding moving.” Unless you are going to have a wedding consultant “do your wedding”, your photographer will be the ONLY person to keep you on schedule.
Their expertise of knowing the right moments, creating the right moods, making your portraits look perfect and making you look fantastic, is worth every single dollar spent!
“Horror” stories DO happen! Many a bride has come back to me with tears in her eyes asking me if I can correct or “do something with the pictures she received from a “friend of a friend that had a really nice camera.” Having the top of the line camera doesn’t make you a professional...it only means you own a nice camera! You need to know HOW to use your equipment. It’s not just “stand over there” and take a few “snaps”…it’s KNOWING how to properly pose people to bring out their best look with the best possible lighting! Making sure that the “train” is perfect, the bow tie is straight, hair is where it should be, making sure “things” aren’t sticking out of their heads (being aware of backgrounds) are only a few important parts of a professional eye!
When I photograph a wedding, I have backups for my backups, backups Yes… you read that correctly. You NEVER know when a camera or a lighting system is going to fail….and you need to be ready for anything! If it does happen, a true professional will make it look like this is an everyday occurrence and will not break a sweat making sure that the photographs are created.
Your professional photographers should offer different packages to fit different budgets. If you do not know what to budget for photographs, sit down and figure out what you want covered, then call a professional and find out what that will cost. You may have to “tweak” your budget to receive all the photographs you want. If you are going to take a loan out for your wedding, allow enough to cover your wedding photographs. Remember, after your wedding is over, all you have left are your wedding photographs.
Your wedding is one of the most important steps in your life….after months or years of planning, that one special day or weekend goes by so fast. Many brides and grooms do not even remember some of the photographs that were taken and they are so happy when they see the photographs a few days or a week later. Spend the extra time and effort selecting a photographer. Base your selection on their WORK, not their PRICE. Your Professional photographer has done this before and they have many excellent suggestions on how to obtain wedding portraits that will be cherished for years to come.
Don’t be disappointed after your wedding. You can’t go back and redo it again. Make it right the first time.
